The Intern will gain hands-on experience in the agriculture and food industry, work closely with experienced professionals and mentors, and have an opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with data collection, entry, and analysis for specific projects.
Collaborate with team members to achieve specific objectives.
Assist with market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the agricultural industry.
Support customer relationship management activities, including customer outreach, feedback collection, and database management.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other communication materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Attend meetings, take notes, and contribute ideas to discussions.
Salesforce account maintenance activities & support for Customer Verification Specialist teams.
Alignment of accounts and customers in internal systems.
Collect and report customer feedback.
Ensure all research activities and documentation adhere to company standards and regulatory guidelines.
Maintain accurate and organized records of research data, project milestones, and communication activities.
Participate in training sessions and professional development activities.
Perform any other responsibilities as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on animal science, agriculture, food science, sustainability, food systems, quality assurance, agribusiness, or similar degree program
Experience with agriculture and/or food supply chain management such as beef/dairy cattle, poultry, crop production, swine, seafood, consumer packaged goods
Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated
Adaptability, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
Teamwork attitude with a strong aptitude for professionalism and courtesy
Ability to process a high volume of data in a productive and quality driven manner
Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with internal/external staff, vendors, and clients

Preferred Skills
Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools
Familiarity with public policy processes and experience engaging with community or stakeholder groups
Knowledge of current trends and challenges in food systems sustainability and regulatory compliance
Experience with project management tools and techniques

Physical Requirements
Able to use standard computer keyboard and screen on a frequent basis
Able to walk up and down stairs and to sit for up to 8 hours.
Ability to use video conferencing tools, phone, and email for communication, which may involve speaking clearly and listening attentively
May need to lift or move light objects, such as a laptop or office supplies, weighing up to 35 pounds

Working Conditions:Â
Castle Rock, CO office
Some travel required (~5%)
Internships are temporary with a start and end date each semester
