Certification Enrollment Specialist

The Enrollment Specialist is the liaison and point contact for new clients.  This individual is responsible for managing qualifications with new customers and enrollments and relays any updates to external and internal teams. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead client communication during initial qualification analysis and enrollment process

  • Evaluates new client leads by assessing and reviewing client information to verify their certification eligibility prior to enrolling. Advises new clients on when to enroll and what certification might be the best suited.

  • Responsible for increasing client enrollment based on divisional goals.

  • Responsible for creating a sales strategy for enrolling new clients.

  • Handling questions related to fees and providing detailed information on certification requirements, processes, and policies.

  • Collecting information and qualifying candidates for programs, services, or courses.

  • Ensuring that applications are completed correctly and that the required supporting materials have been provided.

  • Entering, updating, and reviewing data and records.

  • Providing guidance and recommendations to applicants and prospective candidates.

  • Corresponding with applicants and prospective candidates.

  • Actively prospect, generate leads, and acquire new clients for our certification services.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.

  • Understand client needs and requirements, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our certification services.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns.

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on sales activities and pipeline status.

  • Assist clients with contract, enrollment, and procedure inquiries.

  • Notify internal teams of new clients once onboarding is complete.

  • Manage contracts and renewals with clients and upcoming deadlines.

  • Communicate any enrollment delays or issues with clients and internal team.

  • Participate in regular team meetings.

  • Attend meetings and webinars to stay abreast of industry updates.

  • Track enrollment performance and client satisfaction.

  • Maintain a detailed record of the status for each client and escalate any high priority needs.

  • Develop and maintain effective, sound, and healthy communication with clients and internal and external teams.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the certification programs and services provided by Where Food Comes From Divisions: WFCFO, Validus, IMI, and Postelsia.

  • Assist with the development of certification policies and procedures, guidance documents, and certification forms in conjunction with the Certification Officer to maintain efficient workflow, adopt industry best practices, and identify key areas for continuous process improvement.

  • Works on special projects as assigned by the Sales manager.

  • Determines and escalates discounts to clients if they qualify.

  • Interacts with other certification bodies to verify eligibility if clients can obtain certification.

  • Attend applicable tradeshows when needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in applicable field and/or 5 years related experience

  • Exceptional communication skills, well organized and heightened attention to detail

  • Strong sense of urgency towards customer service and task management

  • Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning

  • Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively and efficiently with completing deadlines

  • Confident and comfortable communicating in person and on the phone with prospective clients

  • Must have a positive, solutions-oriented attitude and be a team player

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Organic or other agricultural/food certification knowledge, training, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of customer service experience

  • Practical field experience in agriculture, food science, or food production

  • Food safety and quality standards experience

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to use standard computer keyboard on a frequent basis.

Able to walk up and down stairs and to sit for up to 8 hours.

 

Working Conditions: 

  • Medina, ND or Castle Rock, CO offices

  • Remote Option
