Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman John Saunders founded Where Food Comes From, Inc. (formerly IMI Global, Inc.) in 1995 with an anticipation of the critical role information technology and verification would play in the future of the agriculture and food industries. Since that time, Where Food Comes From, Inc has grown to become a leader in providing source and process verification services to over 10,000 farms and ranches across the United States. The company’s clients also include some of the largest corporations in the food production, processing and retail industries. Today the company offers a wide variety of verification and certification solutions, including source, age, no added hormones, humanely handled, grass-fed, organic, gluten free certification and Non-GMO verification. More than 50% of the beef exported from the United States is verified by Where Food Comes From, Inc. every year. Prior to founding Where Food Comes From, Inc., John was born on a small family farm in northwest Ohio and attended Yale University where he was a double major in American Military History and Environmental Sciences. John was also a football player and was selected as the 117th captain of the Yale Bulldogs football team in 1994. While a student at Yale, John developed a strong interest in business development and entrepreneurship as the operations manager of two student-run businesses on campus.

Co-Founder, President and COO Leann Saunders is the President and COO of Where Food Comes From, Inc., the leading agricultural and food verification and certification company in North America. Where Food Comes From, Inc. and its subsidiaries (IMI Global, International Certification Services, Sterling Solutions and Validus Verification Services) offer programs and services allowing tens of thousands of food producers across all types of commodities to meet specific market needs, including public standards, private brand initiatives and international trade requirements. Prior to her time at Where Food Comes From, Inc., Leann worked for PM Beef Holdings, where she developed the first-ever USDA Process Verified program for beef in the U.S. Leann also worked for McDonald’s Corporation and Hudson Foods Corporation. Leann also sits on the Board of Directors for the International Stockmen’s Education Foundation, and was the Chair of the United States Meat Export Federation for the 2014-2015 year. Personally, Leann remains actively involved with her family’s ranching and stocker operations and is part owner of the Mayfield Heritage Cattle Company in Animas, New Mexico.

Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary Dannette Henning is a CPA with more than 15 years of professional experience, including a deep background in SEC and financial reporting, due diligence, debt and equity financing transactions, consolidations and integrations, and process improvement and re-design. Prior to joining IMI Global in March 2008, Henning was controller with Einstein Noah Restaurant Group for more than three years. Previous assignments include: assistant controller, Sirenza Microdevices; audit services with KPMG Peat Marwick; accounting manager, DF&R Restaurant Company; and senior accountant, CSI/CDC Company.

Jason Franco has been the Chief Technology Officer of the Company since August 2021. Previously, Mr. Franco served as Senior Vice President of Technology. Mr. Franco founded his own technology company, JVF Consulting, in 2004, which was later acquired by WFCF in September of 2018. Prior to founding JVF Consulting, he worked as a Technical Application Consultant and Integration Specialist with Peoplesoft/Oracle from 2000 to 2004. He began his career in 1998 as a software developer with John Deere Special Technologies Group where he specialized in traceability applications. He received his B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA.

Vice President of Investor Relations Jay Pfeiffer has worked with IMI Global since 2006. He has a diverse background in investor relations, capital formation, corporate governance, strategic planning and corporate communications. He has advised dozens of NYSE, AMEX, Nasdaq and OTCBB companies on building shareholder value. Pfeiffer has led six successful private placement, IPO, and/or secondary offering efforts for emerging growth companies and served on the board of directors of a Nasdaq-listed company. He also previously served as an investment advisor for two NYSE-listed firms.
